City Spirituality

Sharing experiences at work rapidly takes us below the surface of daily life.

People say:

  • Work consumes the major time of life
  • As our wealth increases our mental health and contentment seems to be eroded
  • Success breeds the question: Is this all there is?
  • The struggle at work drains our life of joy and meaning.

Biblical wisdom speaks of humanity created in the image of God. Our work creates both hope and heartache, wealth and wilderness.

Our stories of daily work can raise us to god-like creativity, but also crush us in despair.

Saint Stephen’s aims to open up current work-place life, with insights from biblical wisdom and spirituality.

Saint Stephen’s offers

  • critical.mass every Thursday at 5.30pm
  • weekday cafe with dishes made with Fairtrade, organic and seasonal ingredients where available
  • Wednesday lunchtime concerts in May and July.
